SI-TEX's Guardian Programmable Anti-Grounding feature lets you know if your current course takes you within preset distance of charted shoals, obstructions or other areas where the water is too shallow for your vessel's draft. And, the convenient Depth Graph feature accepts input from onboard sounder or optional Active Transducer to display graphic presentation of vessel's current depth and recent depth history. The powerful system stores up to 3000 waypoints or marks, 50 routes and 5000 track points and includes a built-in worldwide background chart. The Tide Info feature uses local C-Card information to calculate tide graph for local ports and the find function uses local C-Card to locate nearest boatyard, bank, even the closes shower. An easy to use joy stick pointing device controls on-screen cursor to plot, scroll, pan, and zoom from vast sea areas to harbor charts. Combined with softkeys and a comprehensive on-screen menu, you'll have easy access to all system features. The system can display coordinates in Lat/Lon, Loran TD's, UTM or OSGB and offers four selectable languages: English, Italian, French and Spanish. For ultimate flexibility, you can download data onto optional C-MAP NT+ C-Card memory cartridges or interface with other on-board electronics via two NMEA-0183 input and two output dataports. The ColorMax will even display wind data when connected to wind instrument through NMEA-0183 interface. The display doubles as a monitor, allowing you to watch a DVD or VCR movie on the display or to connect (via two viedo ports) existing or optionally available cameras to monitor important areas of your vessel.
